Tatjana Edelweisseparra stems from a long line of Swiss-Russian artists. Surrounded by an artistic atmosphere from her earliest childhood, she devoted herself to drawing, modeling, music and dance. She enrolled in the art school at the Surikov Institure, and pursured her academic studies at the Surikov Higher Academy Institute in Moscow, where she received her Masters degree of Art.
Throughout her studies, as well as professionally, Tatjana Edelweisseparra has worked in various artistic fields such as sculpture, painting, and graphics. She works with portraits, monuments, and ornaments. Her sculptures adorn buildings and parks across the former Soviet Union.
The works of Tatjana Edelweisseparra have been shown in exhibitions and purchased by museums and private collectors in Sweden, Austraila, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Germany, United Kingdom, Greece, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Russia, Spain and the United States.
Since 1986 Tatjana Edelweisseparra has lived in various European countries, including Scandinavia, and is now residing in the United States. In Sweden, she created many paintings, graphics, and sculptures. Several well-known companies, such as Sandviken, Volvo, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken, Handelsbanken, Energicenter and Grand Hotel Stockholm, have bought her works. For Televerket (Swedish Telecom now called TeliaSonera), she created a statue of Elfride Andree, the first female telegraphist in Sweden. Televerket has also acquired some portrait sculptures, which they use as prizes.
Tatjana Edelweisseparra has exhibited her portraits successfully at Televerket as well as in galleries in Stockholm and Uppsala, such as Östermain, Konst Coulcur, Huddinge Centrum, Mailes Art, Gamla Gillet, Galleri Oden, Sophiahemmet (Hospital), and the B street Gallery in San Diego , California.
Tatjana Edelweisseparra is a multi-faceted artist with balanced production in both form and content. With unbridled fantasy she creates a mosaic of the colors of human feelings. Her art is characterized by the great professional mastery, originality, musicality and a wonderful harmony of colors corresponding to the content of the picture. The most important aspect of her art is the representation of human feelings in all their variations.
The art of Tatjana Edelweisseparra is dynamic and psychological, touching the viewer's deepest feelings and emotions in a way that elevates her beyond the gray of everyday art. It is no coincidence that in her paintings of Tatjana Edelweissepara we encounter flying human fiqures, birds and other animals as well as submarine worlds of great beauty. It is the dream of human beings to rise above the problems and troubles of the world. This is the meaning of cultivated art -- to elevate human feelings and emotions with the help of color and shape, filling life with purity and happiness.
